Punch Club: A Fighter's Tamagotchi for iOS and Android (with Guides, Tips and Tricks)

Punch Club: A Fighter's Tamagotchi for iOS and Android (with Guides, Tips and Tricks)

Simulation games have always been one of my favorite genre. A simulation game is a game where you will be simulating various activities from real life. At the early development of simulation game, the true purpose of it isn't actually for fun purpose but rather for real-life purpose such as training, analysis, or prediction. Most simulation games trying to tell the player about how they think a real situation from their game would happen.

But as time goes by, so does the evolution of simulation games. Now they're not just focusing on detail and real-life simulation, but also broaden its range to a more friendly, simple, and fun games. The history of simulation game is a bit blur. While many credits the notorious Sim City as the first simulation game, Coleco Vision claim themselves as the game that inspires Sim City.

Since the success of Sim City, simulation games is like the genre that would never dies. This genre always has its own fan base that would never fade away. Just like the time when I was a child, the time when Tamagotchi was first released in public, 20 years ago. It's like everybody feel responsible to raise a digital pet that's just as large as any keychain, and can be brought anywhere they go.

That's exactly the same concept that I thought when simulation games being brought into iPhone. It's like you have your own tamagotchi again, but this time, it's not just digital pet, you can even bring a street fighter everywhere you go and have him develops into a tough fighter.

Combining strategic decision and simulation together is what Lazy Bear Games wanted to present to the players. With these combinations in mind, along with the passion to bring back nostalgic feeling into modern game, Punch Club is born.

Lumino City: From Paper to Play - Review & Walkthrough

Lumino City: From Paper to Play - Review & Walkthrough

I'm a amateur photographer. I couldn't always take a great photo, but I do know if I'm taking a bad photo, so I do believe with my eyes a little bit. That is also the reason why I really excited with games that put their effort in their visual appearance.

Unfortunately, games that's taking too many attentions on their graphics, are usually end with bland or even worst poor gameplay. You wouldn't be able to find easily a game with great graphics and great gameplay. If you can, that game would most likely wins an award (because it's rare).

That is why, I got really excited when I saw this trailer from State of Play Games. It is a puzzle adventure game, it is a point and click adventure, with all the backdrops behind, entirely made with real world materials, paper, card.

Even all the effects are handmade using motors and miniature lights. Don't believe me? Check their behind-the-scene trailer below, and why do they bother to do all that? Because they can, and this is Lumino City.

The Room Three: All Secret Endings Unlocked

The Room Three: All Secret Endings Unlocked

The Room series has became a trend-setter, a model, a game to beat for anyone who plays puzzle games. Although, it's been a bit derivation in its second game, their next game in the series still got many people excited with.

So, when Fireproof Games, the British developer behind these games, launched their next game, I'm putting my life to be in the front line to get this game and play it.

Long story short, the game was very far far away from disappointment. I have spent more than 8 hours to play with the latest series of The Room and Fireproof Games and I have no regret whatsoever playing. It's The Room Chapter 3.

Please Don't Touch Anything (PDTA) All Endings Walkthrough and Guide

Before we even start, let me tell you that this post contains a lot of spoiler. This post, is made exclusively for those who have seen the shine reflected by this little gem from BulkyPix and Four Quarters. This is Please, Don't Touch Anything.

There are lots of cartoon series that use the same premise as what PDTA has. It all starts with one Red button and a task given to you while your partner is taking short toilet break.

There's no way you can resist pressing when you're left with just one red button, and nothing else to do. Moreover, when you press the red button, nothing happen beside a switch appears out of nowhere. The rest I believe is what we all have loved the most from this game.

Her Story: A Murder Solving Game in iOS - Game Review

Her Story: A Murder Solving Game in iOS - Game Review

Combining game with movie has been around for years. In fact, the first game that used movie inside the game was released in arcades back in 1983, and it's entitled with Dragon's Lair. It still uses Laserdiscs to store all the videos used inside the game and along with this game, some of other similar games were also released using this kind of genre that now called as FMV or Full Motion Video.

We now have come to an agreement that this kind of game isn't a new concept. In 1990s, there was even a sport game that used FMV in its game. It's entitled with NFL's Greatest: San Francisco vs. Dallas 1978-1993. In that game, you will decide your plays and the game will show you how your choice would play out, in a real motion video.

However, the gaming industry has evolved so much, FMV wasn't game developers favorite anymore. With today 3D technology, you can get a fantastic real life feeling, a more interactive and less repititve gameplay. That's not like the old days when FMV was a favorite because they can give this real life feeling in the game.

Despite all the limitations that was found in FMV games, Sam Barlow, the lead designer as well as writer of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, has no doubt with his latest murder solving game, Her Story.

Door Kickers Review - A Black Ops Simulator for iOS and Android

Tango Down! Clear! Roger That! Cover Me! That words have been stucked in my head ever since I started digging deep into Killhouse Games top-down tactical game. This top-down tactical shooter game has blown many gamers mind in its PC version, scoring an 82 in Metacritic and has gained a very positive review from most of its reviewee.

Door Kickers is not a new game, this game has been released back in September 2013 at PC, Mac, and Linux. Having been released for almost 2 years, the game that finally comes into iPad and our hands isn't the same game as the first build. Lots of update have been worked on, additional features are added, resulting in a more satisfying and more balance game all around. So Door Kickers is not just a potential game anymore, it's a mature game.

Little Red Riding Hood is one of parents favorite bedtime stories. This european fairy tale has been changed numerously and adapted in many readings. The story itself was first published by a French author and member of the Académie française, Charles Perraut.

Based on Perraut's fairytale, little red riding hood's costume is a hooded cape/cloak. In most of the story, the little girl was illustrated as a naive, simple-minded girl, that wears a red hooded cape while bringing a basket full of foods for her grandmother.

There are four characters involved in little red riding hood story. The little girl with red hooded cape as the main character, the grandmother whose her house is separated with a dark forest, the wolf as the villain who wants to eat little girl's food (in some version, eat the girl as well), and last, the woodcutter as the hero who saves both grandmother and little girl as the closing story.

This fairytale, is the base of our next sliding tile puzzle game. This latest little red riding hood puzzle game is coming from Retro Epic, and it's called A Day in the Woods.
